Four Decades On, Shah Rukh Khan Remains a Brand Favourite

Shah Rukh Khan may be celebrated as Bollywood's Badshah, but his influence extends well beyond cinema. Nearly four decades into his career, the actor continues to attract brands across categories, from automobiles and beverages to telecommunications, financial services and skincare.

His recent associations with Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Visa, along with long-standing partnerships with Hyundai, underline his continued relevance in an increasingly fragmented advertising market.

According to Kroll's Celebrity Brand Valuation 2025 report, Shah Rukh Khan emerged as India's most valuable celebrity brand. His estimated brand value stood at $77.9 million, up from $45.7 million in 2024.

He ranked ahead of Ranveer Singh, whose brand value was estimated at $162.9 million, and Virat Kohli, valued at $158.4 million. Kroll also recorded an expansion in Khan's brand portfolio, from 28 associations in 2024 to 36 in 2025.

His advertising visibility is further supported by television data. According to TAM AdEx, between January and September 2026, Khan accounted for 10% of celebrity-endorsed television advertising volumes, making him the most visible celebrity in the category. MS Dhoni followed with an 8% share.

Despite the growing importance of digital creators, influencers and emerging faces in advertising, Shah Rukh Khan continues to hold a strong position in the brand endorsement landscape.

The question remains: what makes marketers continue to invest in his enduring celebrity appeal
